Saltwater Groms

After school surf clinics

A weekly clinic across the term, where your grom's surfing genuinely builds from one week to the next, and they have an end of term award to show for it.

Real progress, week by week

This is our progressive clinic. Your grom comes once a week through the term, so their surfing actually develops rather than starting from scratch each time. It is the difference between a one off splash and genuinely learning to surf.

Each week focuses on something new, whether that is the pop up, choosing the right wave or their first turns. The crew builds skill, confidence and a few good mates along the way, and finishes the term with an award that marks how far they have come.

The good stuff

Where it runs

Clinics run on weekday afternoons and on Saturday morning, at Orewa and Mangawhai. Pick the beach, day and time you'll come each week. That's it, we do the rest.

Parents ask

Common questions

The clinic runs weekly through the term, so it is about steady, ongoing progress rather than a one off burst. Kids really learn to surf this way.
Just let us know. We will do our best to help your grom catch up so they stay on track for the term.
No, boards, wetsuits and rashies are all provided. Just bring togs, a towel and sunscreen.
A way to recognise how far each grom has come over the term. It gives them something to aim for and be proud of.
