Take your skills further on a snorkel adventure – learn how to dive under the surface, equalize your ears and clear your snorkel!

Our Intermediate Snorkel Lessons & Tours are designed for the more confident snorkelers who have already mastered the basics. Our team know all the best snorkel spots hidden away in our region’s acclaimed Marine Reserves and Magical Mangrove snorkel sites and are eager to take you on an unforgettable snorkel adventure.

Join your experienced Marine Biologist guide and explore:

  • Seaweed tunnels
  • Overhangs and pinnacles
  • Crayfish and octopus hideaways
  • New Zealand’s incredible sponge and anemones gardens.

We specialise in giving you a completely natural and educational experience, at a relaxed pace. If you are keen to try something a little different we also offer Sunrise and Sunset Adventure Snorkels on request.

IMPORTANT: Parents must accompany any youth under 12 years of age. Minimum age is 8 years and older. Saltwater Eco is partnered with Goat Island Dive and Snorkel.

What’s included:

Allow  2 hours for your intermediate lesson, snorkel lessons are run at a relaxed pace; with a maximum of 4 snorkelers to 1 instructor.

All the equipment you need for your lesson is provided:

  • Mask, snorkel and fins
  • Full length wetsuit

  • Photos / videos from your snorkel lesson (additional cost)

  • Weight Belts
